UK replicator The VDC Group has been certified under the internationally approved Anti-Piracy Compliance Programme of IRMA, newly renamed Content Delivery and Storage Association.
“Established in 1982, VDC has been an active supporter of the industry with the protection of intellectual property. With this accreditation this further enhances our support to our customers and the industry and we are proud to be associated with the IRMA programme. ” said Ashwin Bedi, Joint Managing Director of the VDC Group.
Welcoming VDC on board the programme, Theo G. Köhler, EMEA Director of the Anti-Piracy Compliance Program, says that the industry’s first set of international anti-piracy standards for replicators is a major step in assisting record labels, movie studios, computer software and game content owners to identify replicators that have implemented a program to prevent the inadvertent replication of unauthorized pre-recorded media.
Including the recently certified VDC facility, over 100 facilities have earned and/or maintain Anti-Piracy Compliancy worldwide. For a complete list of IRMA’s official participating plants visit www.recordingmedia.org/antipiracy/antipiracy-status.cfm
