Car rental firm Hertz has expanded its offerings to customers travelling in Europe, introducing portable DVD/CD players at more than 60 locations in nine countries.
The Hertz Entertainment units can be used not only in Hertz vehicles, but in hotels and apartments, enabling travellers to watch their own DVDs or listen to their own music as they journey through Europe.
“Hertz not only rents a wide variety of quality vehicles – it continues to add value through innovation,” said Kevin Doyle, International Sales Manager for Hertz Australia. “The Hertz DVD/CD players are “region free”, and will play DVDs or CDs from anywhere in the world.”
The units can be used outside the car, such as in a hotel and they have a long-life battery for better portability. Units also come with headsets, so passengers can be entertained without distracting the driver.
The units are priced at €4 or £4 per day, or €20£20 per week, and are now available at participating Hertz locations in the UK, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands and Spain.
Initially, these units can be requested through Hertz Central Reservations. They are not available for one way rentals. (Source: AsiaTraveltips.com)
