dr.schwab Inspection Technology is opening its US Service Center, which will be up and running from mid-February 2006. Located in Stillwater, Minnesota, the new facility is well located to provide technical services for customers throughout North America.

The Service Center is headed by Markus Habermayr (picture), an experienced company engineer. A full range of after-sales support for all dr.schwab in-line and off-line products is available – service and spares, troubleshooting and repairs, installation and commissioning of new systems, operator training and helpdesk support.

Customers with inspection systems supplied by ContTec and aeco Germany will also benefit from the technical services on offer.

“The US Service Center not only provides support for our existing customer base, but also anticipates the advent of volume production of HD-DVD and Blu-ray Disc,” explains dr.schwab’s CEO and Managing Director, Johann Ostermayer. “Manufacturers in North America will play a leading part in the roll-out of third-generation formats, and can be assured of our commitment to supplying first-class after-sales service, as well as advanced inspection technology.
