Stream doubles design capacity with new hires

London-based authoring facility Stream Digital Media kicks off the New Year with the addition of three new staff members for its design department.

Clayton Welham has been freelancing at Stream for the past three months and has decided to join the team on a fulltime basis. As a freelance designer Welham’s clients included AOL, Redbull and BBC.

Mark Wingell joins Stream from Figment Media, where he spent the last year and a half working as a DVD designer. Wingell also brings valuable broadcast and interactive design experience to the facility.

Matthew Patience graduated earlier this year with a 1st Class (hons) in Multimedia Technology & Design at Brunel University. He has spent time working within BSKYB’s 3D department producing 2D and 3D animations for broadcast.

“In the last few months we’ve seen growing demand for our DVD menu design and interactive design services and an expanded design department will allow us meet our clients’ needs,” comments Peter Halata Head of Design at Stream. “With the added capacity we will also be able to grow our offering and cater for new developments in UMD and HD whilst maintaining the high level of creativity across all formats.”

Stream Digital Media is an award-winning DVD design, compression and authoring facility based in London. Now part of the Ascent Media Group, Stream was established in 1998 and has produced in excess of 1000 DVD titles for the sell-through market.

Clients include: Buena Vista, Columbia Tri-Star, Universal Music, 2 Entertain, Opus Arte, BFI, Artificial Eye, Entertainment In Video and Granada Ventures.
