Sonic Solutions announced record results for the third quarter ended 31 December 2005. Quarterly revenues were a record $40.8 million, up 28% from $31.9 million in the second fiscal quarter of the year, and up more than 100% from $19.7 million for the third quarter of fiscal 2005.
Operating income for the third quarter of fiscal 2006 was $9.3 million or 22.8% of revenue compared to $3.2 million or 10.1% of revenue for the second quarter of fiscal 2006 and an operating loss of $0.7 million or 3.7% for the third quarter of fiscal 2005.
Net income grew to $8.2 million or $0.30 per share in the third quarter of fiscal 2006 versus $3.1 million or $0.11 per share in the second quarter of fiscal 2006 and net loss of $419,000 or $0.02 per share in the third quarter of fiscal 2005.
