The Lynic Group is completing the acquisition of kdg UK. Established in 2003, the Welsh subsidiary of leading independent replicator Austria-based kdg had been initially sold to entrepreneur Peter John Hewitt of Loughton, Essex, back in February.
At the time, Hewitt was said to have a substantial number of contacts in the software business outside of this UK, which helped him to identify the potential of the Merthyr Tydfil plant. Hewitt was confident that he would be able to tap into this potential profitability to grow the business and secure the local employment.
The company was put back on the market, advertised by Smith Hodgkinson industrial auctioneers on their website. Lynic, who is in the process of expanding operations, will be providing more details on its acquisition after the Easter break.
