CDA steps up copy protection for DVDs
German optical disc replicator CDA Datentrager Albrechts has increased its commitment to counteract the current trend of illegal piracy by licensing and offering the most up-to-date effective copy protection procedures for DVD videos.
In addition to Macrovision’s Ripguard, CDA offers copy protection systems by ProtectDISC for the protection of DVD Video, DVD ROM, and CD ROM formats. ProtectDVD-Video is an innovative copy protection system for video DVDs; with an intelligent combination of special media structures and modified navigation schemes applied to the DVD, it becomes impossible to make a 1:1 copy, or a complete ‘rip’ of the DVD disc.
ProtectCD and ProtectDVD protects the medium with the application of an invisible, unique ‘fingerprint’ which also gives the medium an unmistakable individual identity that clearly distinguishes it from any duplicates or copies which may be attempted.
