After DVD, HD DVD, Blu-ray and 3D, adult publishers are once again pushing home technology frontiers. MARC DORCEL, a European leader in the adult entertainment market, is to launch the Continent’s first 3D video-on-demand service. The company will offers users access to more than 60 exclusive videos especially designed for 3D and produced with the latest 3D recording technologies in full HD.
“As always, MARC DORCEL gives high priority to quality, creation and innovation,” says Gregory Dorcel, the company's Managing Director. “At a time when audiences want to be able to watch what they want, when they want, and where they want it, we are proud to launch this VOD service dedicated to 3D, in which realism is really impressive.”
Available on channel 171 of French operator FREE, the service offers a space dedicated to 3D, organised around ten themes – “girls only”, “nurses”, “pornochic”, “fetish,” etc. – with the addition of new videos each week.
The service’s 3D content is produced jointly with French technology company 3DLized, a specialist in 3D cinema and advertising, 3D post-production and 2D-to-3D conversion, for which it developed proprietary tools.
Founded in 1979, MARC DORCEL is a media group distributing adult content though magazine, DVD, linear TV, VOD, webtire and mobile phone. The company says it is to announce shortly partnerships with other French and European operators.
