Entertainment Distribution Company GmbH, the largest, fully integrated optical disc manufacturing and distribution site in Europe with head office in New York, continues to invest in growing its European market reach with a number of new appointments and moves in the management team.
André Niemann, having worked for EDC for over nine years has been appointed to a newly-created role Director Strategic Business Development focusing on building upon EDC's core strengths in manufacturing and global and local distribution from one site in new business areas.
Paul Murphy has been appointed as EDC Sales and Marketing Director Europe leading an extended team that is now covering Germany, France and the UK with one new sales appointment with Maxime Hueber (pictured) joining the team. Hueber came from avarto where his responsibility included the French market.
EDC was established in 2005 following the acquisition of the manufacturing and distribution facilities of the Universal Music Group. In May 2007, it changed its name to Entertainment Distribution Company from Glenayre Technologies.
