AGI extends packaging services to lenticular printing

Media packaging suppliers AGI has added lenticular technology to its range of print capabilities. It utilises a magnifying plastic lense, creating an illusion of depth thus giving the printed image a real 3D effect without glasses.

Over the past few months, AGI have already produced over one million lenticulars for top titles such as Black Swan, Limitless and Season of the Witch. The variety of lenticular effects available ranges from 3D, flip and animation to zoom and morph. The whole process is undertaken in-house at the UK’s AGI special packaging facility in Slough, Berkshire.

'We believe Lenticular printing will be very popular, particularly amongst our film studio clients, considering the ever-growing amount of 3D Blu-ray releases emerging the market place,” says Andy Watts, General Manager of AGI Slough.
