Under the DEG umbrella, Hollywood studios and consumer electronics manufacturers have engaged in a massive promotion of Blu-ray discs on Facebook with the “Win Big with Blu-ray” campaign.
This marks the launch of one of the largest Facebook sweepstakes ever implemented, with challenge that spans more than 100 Facebook pages combined. Hosted DEG in partnership with Bert Kreischer, host of Travel Channel's Bert The Conqueror, sweepstakes winners will be awarded a Blu-ray prize pack each week, for 15 weeks.
To enter, fans may visit any of the participating partners’ Facebook pages. There they can also watch the videos and like the Facebook page. Additional bonus points may be earned by commenting about the promotion for a chance to win weekly prizes, including a new Blu-ray Disc player and 50 of Hollywood’s hottest movies on Blu-ray.
“The top 20 Hollywood film pages alone on Facebook have more than 250 million collective ‘likes’, so by teaming up with more than 100 similar partners, we knew this could be one of the largest sweepstakes ever to be conducted on Facebook,” said Amy Jo Smith, Executive Director, DEG.
