Singulus Technology said it has received an order from global replicator Cinram for a 'sizable' number of BLULINE II machines. The Cinram Group runs already more than 130 DVD and Blu-ray Disc replication lines purchased from the German manufacturer. The new machines will be installed at sites in North America and Europe.
"We are one of the largest providers of supply chain solutions to some of the most exciting companies in the home entertainment, telecommunications and retail industries," said Steve Brown, CEO of Cinram. "With Blu-ray production equipment from SINGULUS, we improve our capability to offer our customers excellent services."
Singulus, the market leader in BD replication systems, noted that this purchase echoes "the positive forecast for the Blu-ray market." It claims to be the only engineering company worldwide providing the machine technology for three-layer Blu-ray Discs with a storage volume of about 100GB.
