MIP Packaging in plastic injection leadership with Due-Ci's tray addition
The leader in plastic injection trays for the multimedia industry, French-based MIP Packaging, has acquired last month the packaging-related activities of Italian manufacturer Due-Ci.
Located near Alençon - a plastic hub - MIP has specialised in plastic injection since 1982 and is one of the leading international manufacturers of Digitrays for discs and memory cards (for Digipacks).
Known for its Novatray and Push product ranges of double DVD and double Blu-ray disc trays, MIP produces over 100 million units a year. It is a worldwide media packaging supplier for CD, DVD, Blu-ray Disc, Cards and USB.
With 22 injection moulding machines from 40 tons to 400 tons on its site, MIP also manufactures plastic parts for the automotive, construction, electronics, connectics and cosmetics sectors. With the acquisition of Due-Ci's plastic injection sector, MIP expects to increase international sales. Already 80% of its products are for the export markets.
