Singulus has received an order for three Blu-ray machines from Laser-Video Multimedia in Russia. Laser-Video already operates one Blu-ray machine as well as a Crystalline mastering system. Its clients include major studios such as Universal and Warner, leading Russian companies and distributors as well as large publishing houses.
"With this order we continue to strengthen our position in Europe as the market leader in the optical disc sector," comments Stefan Baustert, CEO of Singulus Technologies. "Our target is to achieve a global market share of more than 65% for Blu-ray machines."
Laser-Video, the largest producer for optical disc in Eastern Europe, has invested heavily in Blu-ray technology and, in particular, BD50.
