Ron Sanders, President of Warner Home Video, is the latest keynote speaker announced for the forthcoming PEVE Digital Entertainment conference in Paris (17-18 April). Other speakers already scheduled include Matt Brown, Executive VP International for Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, and Eddie Cunningham, President of Universal Pictures International Entertainment.
"Sanders’ extensive experience of the day-to-day issues facing the home entertainment industry on both sides of the Atlantic, and his role at the heart of the first Hollywood studio to combine its entire home video, digital delivery, games, anti-piracy and emerging technologies divisions into a single unit, mean he is ideally placed to open this year’s PEVE Digital Entertainment," says conference organiser Screen Digest.
Prior to his current position, Sanders oversaw Warner’s domestic home video operations and as SVP & Co-Managing Director for Europe, Middle East and Africa, based in the UK.
Brown has spoken at the conference many times during his tenure as President Home Entertainment International for DreamWorks, when he was based in London. Now LA-based, he is responsible for SPHE's International business.
Eddie Cunningham will be addressing PEVE for the first time since taking on the role of President of UPI from Peter Smith – who gave the Opening Keynote at PEVE 2006 – following the latter's promotion to President, NBC Universal International. Based in London, Eddie Cunningham oversees international sales, distribution and marketing for all home entertainment titles under the Universal banner and manages all aspects of UPIE's home entertainment operations and strategic planning.
Other conference highlights will include in-depth analysis of how the leading platform providers are proposing to make the digital delivery of content direct to consumers commercially viable and how the new developments in 3D are revitalising the movie business.
Conference organisers Screen Digest will announce further speakers and panelists over the next few weeks on www.peve.screendigest.com.
