Sony DADC and the Scandinavian Sales, Service and Marketing companies within Dicentia has agreed on a due diligence process in order to explore the feasibility of integrating the Scandinavian activities of Dicentia into Sony DADC.
The Due diligence process is expected to last approximately 6 weeks during which period Sony will act as a supplier to Dicentia. This interim supply agreement will secure delivery to Dicentia?s customers in connection with the parent company?s filing for bankruptcy last month. The Sales companies of Dicentia are not affected by the bankruptcy and will continue their operations.
"The aim with the interim supply agreement is to maintain a seamless continuity of disc supply chain vis-à-vis Dicentia?s customers in the Scandinavian region – while investigating the possibility for Sony DADC to further capitalize on Dicentia?s experienced sales, marketing and service capabilities by further integrating the organizations," says the communiqué.
Sony DADC's European distribution services are handled by logistic centers in the UK, Germany, France, Spain and Sweden, as well as the Sony DADC manufacturing facilities in Salzburg, Austria and Southwater, UK.
An optical disc manufacturer, Dicentia also offers services in authoring, mastering, digitalization, conversion and systems for digital distribution over the Internet.
