French QOL opens 3rd Blu-ray line
French independent replicator and European Blu-ray pioneer QOL has switched on its third BD manufacturing line, capable of producing single- and double-layer hidef discs. This extra lines will provide the company with a pressing capacity of more than 1.5 million Blu-ray Disc per month.
Already manufacturing Blu-ray for the past three years, in July QOL was named an official Blu-ray test centre, endorsed by Blu-ray Partners France and leading consumer electronics manufacturers. Four of the largest Blu-ray player manufacturers – Sony, Philips. Panasonic and Samsung – who backed the appointment, had supplied a range of their latest Blu-ray players to enable the French BD replicator to make sure that the latest Blu-ray titles and disc features are fully compatible prior to commercial release.
QOL is also now capable of supplying customers with BD test discs in 72 hours, and re-orders of 10,000 units or less in six days.
