Technicolor and Testronic Labs have teamed up to offer comprehensive Blu-ray Disc testing capabilities that combine the unique areas of expertise that each company offers –
Testronic Labs’ expertise in quality testing and assurance for home video products and Technicolor’s knowledge of Blu-ray Disc authoring services and replication.
Testronic Labs was recently audited and accredited by the Blu-ray Disc Association to provide BD-ROM Movie Player and BD-ROM PC Application Software certification services, and in September 2008, Technicolor established the first BDA-approved Blu-ray Disc Test Center for Commercial Audiovisual (AV) Content in the United States.
"Earlier this year our two companies started thinking about ways we could better serve the supply chain," added Seth Hallen, president, Testronic Labs. Since the two companies already offer comprehensive Blu-ray Disc testing capabilities, they will be ready and positioned to make the leap to offer verification and testing services for Blu-ray 3D in 2010.
In a separate developments, Black Bean Games, the Italian publisher of the popular SBK 09 series and other console/PC games, has outsourced all of its external QA to Testronic Labs for the next 12 months. The games are put through their paces at Testronic Labs' newly expanded Warsaw office.
