sofatronic's Kaleidoscope used for production of Asia's first BD-J title
Leading Hong Kong-based full-service video production house Best & Original Production Limited has authored the first BD-J title in Asia, 'The City of Life and Death,' using sofatronic's Kaleidoscope platform.
The region-free BD disc, distributed by Mega Star, comes complete with Mandarin and Cantonese language in both Dolby TrueHD 7.1 and Dolby Digital 5.1, and subtitles in English, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese.
Best & Original Production has also already finished the follow-up title 'The Founding of a Republic' and now only use Kaleidoscope for all BD-J titles.
The German-based authoring tool maker sofratonic is now offering the entire Kaleidoscope product range to customers in China, Japan, Hong-Kong, South Korea, Taiwan and Singapore through a partnership with Hi-End Technology.
