Bob Mayson, Managing Director of RealD Europe and Chris Reiser, Executive Vice President of Sony DADC are the latest keynote speakers announced for this year’s PEVE Digital Entertainment conference (London, 11-12 March).
Bob Mayson, who will open the second day of the conference, has been involved in the still and motion imaging business for over 30 years. After five years in Hollywood managing Kodak's Global Digital Motion Imaging business, he returned to the UK in 2008 to head up European operations for RealD.
RealD’s participation in digital 3D cinema began with its first release in 2005 and today the company has over 9,500 screens under contract and over 4,800 screens installed around the world with its 3D projection technology.
The company now has signed agreements with leading consumer electronics companies Sony, Panasonic, Samsung, JVC, Toshiba, and DirecTV to integrate its technology for 3D in the home, and it is on this aspect of the business that Mayson will focus in his Keynote speech.
Since joining Sony DADC’s Austrian operations in 1987 as head of IT, Chris Reiser has overseen numerous strategic new venture start-ups for the company and has been actively involved in expanding its international network of manufacturing, distribution and supply chain centres to become the full-service technology and solution provider it is today. Since 2004 he has headed up Group Marketing, Sales and Distribution for the company; he also acts as Managing Director of Sony DADC UK.
Reiser’s speech will discuss how supply chain providers can create the perfect route to market and support alternative go-to-markets strategies.
