MPO France tops up Blu-ray capacity
Leading independent replicator MPO France has beefed up its Blu-ray production capability with the installation of a CrystalLine Blu-ray Disc Mastering system from Singulus. The final acceptance test run was said to have passed with flying colours with a yield above 90% based on a full week production.
“The early placement of the CrystalLine at MPO France was a challenge for all involved, but has proven to be very productive,” says Guido Dalessi, CEO of Singulus Mastering. “The yield figure includes mastering, electroforming as well as stamper finishing. Over the past years, we have learnt that all these processes have a significant influence on the overall yield. The test results at MPO point to the fact that these processes are now well under control.”
Since 2009, the CrystalLine has been geared up to master commercial Blu-ray Disc titles for the fast-growing French and European markets. MPO is equipped with both in-house mastering and BD replication capabilities.
