CDA opens in-house printing facility

German replicator CDA Datenträger has opened an onsite printing facility which went into full operation last week. The new production facility was officially inaugurated by the Thuringian Minister of Construction and Traffic, Andreas Trautvetter.

By producing, in-house, the printed material that typically accompanies a CD or DVD, CDA now has more flexibility and can give shorter lead times for the majority of customers’ orders.

The managing director of CDA, Dr Nicolaus Hettler, describes this expansion as a firm investment in the future, complementing CDA’s core business activities in a very practical way. The company, he says, is now able to react even more flexibly than before to customer requirements, and the value added remains within the remit of CDA – in fact, a ‘win-win’ situation for all parties concerned.

Hettler explains that now approximately 70% of the demand for customers’ printed materials required can be produced by CDA.
