Sonopress expands HD DVD, Blu-ray disc making capacity
Sonopress has expanded its worldwide Blu-ray and HD DVD capacities. The international media replicator manufactures both high resolution formats in Gütersloh, Germany, and at its Weaverville site in the U.S.
“Demand for the Blu-ray and HD DVD high resolution formats is on the rise. Many customers are attracted to the new formats – they are trying to create new features for their products and experience the new technology. During the last few months, for example, we manufactured ten top titles for Concorde Home Entertainment in both formats. We are ready for the 2007 season and will be able to react to the rising demand in a flexible manner", said Sven Deutschmann, Sonopress CEO Europe.
Sonopress is now able to produce more than 300,000 single-layer HD DVDs, 100,000 dual-layer discs and 20,000 Blu-ray discs per day.
