Hamburg-based multimedia producer Enteractive GmbH consolidates its pioneering status in the DVD business by developing Sudokia on HD DVD – the world’s first interactive game on the new high-definition disc format.
A key innovation of the HD game is the addition of the interactive application, Microsoft’s HDi, known in the DVD Forum’s HD DVD specification as 'Advanced Application.' Interactive features are executed via the remote control of the HD DVD player. No updates, installations or configurations are required.
The interactive game is compatible with many platforms and can be played on HD DVD players as well as on the current video game systems XBOX 360 HD and on high-end computers with a HD DVD drive.
"The new high-definition formats provide much more than a crystal clear video screen,” says Hans D. Henseleit, CEO of Enteractive. “In our game development, we are particularly attracted to the interactive potential of the HD DVD player. We already have more games in development and are delighted to play a pioneering role in this new market segment."
Enteractive will present Sudokia for the first time at the HD DVD Promotion Group booth at this year’s Internationale Funkausstellung (IFA). Henseleit will also demonstrates the new game at the DVD Forum Europe 2007 conference on Monday in Berlin (download game details).
